Software Interface |
Transport Data Systems provides continuing product support for its systems throughout the life of the equipment. Our customer support staff is fully trained to provide both hardware and software support information to the customer on a timely basis.
TDS supplies a complete installation manual with every system. A pedestal is supplied for mounting of the Doppler radar. Drawings are included for all of the curb mounting hole patterns as well as the mounting of the associated electronics. TDS will also supply installation support to the customer during the initial installation phase to insure a timely and proper installation.
TDS supplies a recommended spare parts list with every system. TDS recommends that the customer deal directly with the equipment manufacturers for procurement of spare parts and repair of failed parts. TDS will the interface to the manufacturers if so desired by the customer.
TDS supplies the AVC software package with the original AVC system. Software updates to this system are not normally required. However should TDS determine that an error exists with the software, software updates will be provided.
The software has been designed to provide for quick changes to the classification tables. Should the customer desire changes in the delivered class structure, TDS can readily provide such modifications to the software.
The interface between the standard TDS AVC processor and the User host is a serial interface (RS-232). The software messaging associated with this interface is defined the AVC Interface Specification.

The simulator provides the ability to record data in a test lane and allow it to be played back in the laboratory to simulate a variety of different vehicle classes, thereby allowing the user to completely exercise his application in a laboratory environment.
TDS can supply training for installation crews and for maintenance and repair of the AVC system.
TDS supplies a technical manual with every AVC system. The manual includes information on the operation of the system as well as the interface to the user equipment.
