November, 2007 - Transport Data Systems has received a follow on order for installation and checkout of camera equipment and sensors along with software to provide for reading of container ID numbers for the Law Enforcement Division of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), Located at 17 strategic agricultural inspection stations throughout Northern Florida, these systems augment the existing license plate reader systems and provide the ability to capture images of containers as the vehicles pass through the inspection station. The system then reads the container ID number from each container and passes the data to a central server at the FDAC AgLaw office in Tallahassee.

Transport Data Systems designs, develops, produces, and sells automatic vehicle classification, weigh-in-motion and license plate capture products for the fare collection, commercial vehicle operations, parking lot access, and border crossing markets. TDS also provides system, hardware and software design services and installation management services for real time data collection and control systems with particular emphasis on the fare collection market.
