January, 2004 - Transport Data Systems annouces the release of its new Quick Change Fiber Axle Detector. The TDS Quik-Change treadle consists of a steel frame and an associated steel treadle carrier with a Sensor Line fiber optic sensor embedded in it. The frame and its associated junction box are permanently installed into the roadway. The treadle carrier is installed into the frame with standard bolts. This product is available in 1, 2 and 4 strip configurations at various lengths.

This unit was developed to provide customers with a reliable fiber treadle system that is easy to install and can be replaced with simple tools in less than two hours.

Transport Data Systems designs, develops, produces, and sells automatic vehicle classification, weigh-in-motion and license plate capture products for the fare collection, commercial vehicle operations, parking lot access, and border crossing markets. TDS also provides system, hardware and software design services for real time data collection and control systems with particular emphasis on the fare collection market.
