Transport Data Systems designs, develops, produces, and sells automatic vehicle classification (AVC), weigh-in-motion (WIM) and license plate reader (LPR) products for the fare collection, traffic management, commercial vehicle operations, homeland security and border crossing markets. The AVC systems employ a variety of sensors including Doppler radar, light curtains, overhead laser scanners and contact, quartz and fiber optic treadles. The LPR system employs digital area scan cameras (visible and near IR) with strobed LED illuminators and automated license plate readers.
