CAMPUS PARKING LOT MOBILE SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM
Whether used for general search support or for mobile parking lot enforcement, automatic license plate identification from a moving vehicle is now possible. In particular, the TDS portable camera system can be attached to any window within the vehicle to identify license plates. The TDS portable license plate identification system automatically detects, reads and identifies license plates numbers from parked cars while in motion. The results are compared with a white list of acceptable license plate numbers stored in a database. This technique allows campus parking management to quickly identity scofflaws that have parked illegally in restricted parking lots.
This technique can be applied to any type of parking lot where the allowed patrons are known and can be entered into a database. The system uses a license plate matching software package that is fault tolerant and will quickly locate any license plate that is either an exact match or a near match. This information will be given to the search operator so that a visual confirmation of the will provide the user with a list of which vehicles used which roads.
The TDS Mobile LPR System works off a car battery.
The TDS portable LPR systrem is the ideal license plate identification system for all scenarios:
- From dense city traffic to high-speed motorway enforcement.
- In-motion traffic surveillance from the front, rear and side ; i.e. while driving past parked vehicles.
- High reading rates in all weather conditions.
- Invisible infra-red flash ensures unobtrusive use both day and night.
- Installation in any vehicle; clear, untinted windshields and associated amendments are not necessary.
